Reservation Policies

 

IMPORTANT: Please read and agree to all policies listed above before reserving your room.

Deposits:

Bookings for a Standard Room made by telephone or directly on our website will be charged a deposit equal to the first night rate plus 9% lodging tax. Balance is due upon arrival

Bookings of the Cottage & Beach House require a 50% reservation deposit, which is taken upon booking. Final payment is due 14 days prior to arrival.

Bookings made through 3rd party online travel sites (expedia, booking.com, airbnb, priceline, etc) will be charged a deposit that is specified by the respective sites.

Cash payments are accepted. but you must have valid credit card on file.

Any date changes (removing nights or changing dates) are subject to a $25 service fee.

• Rates based on 2 adults • Children under 16 stay free (limit 2)
• Max 4 per guest room (additional fee $20 per night/per person)
• Rates subject to Maine lodging tax of 9%
• Minimum stays may be required (3 nights for Cottage/Beach House and holiday weekends)
• US Currency, Visa and MasterCard, Travelers Checks and Money Orders accepted
• Sorry, no pets
• Late arrivals must call before 8:00 pm
• Must be 21 years of age to reserve and check in with valid credit card. Reservations are subject to refusal upon arrival if guest is under age 21
• Noise – Quiet time is 10pm. NO exceptions, which is for the benefit and comfort of all our guests. Violators will be removed from the property and NO REFUND will be given.
• Pool area for registered guests only
• All visitors must register at office and be accompanied by a registered guest
• No transfer of registered guests rooms to another party (no sublets)
• No transfer of parking permits to unregistered guests
• Parking – Please note that there is only 1 guaranteed parking spot per room. Additional vehicles will need to be parked off-site during your stay.
• Smoking – To accommodate all of our guests there is no smoking allowed in any room. The State of Maine permits hotel owners to charge cleaning fees for people who smoke in a smoke-free room. Also, there is no smoking on the property. If you must smoke, you will have to do so at least 15 feet away from the property. If smoke in the room, you will be charged a cleaning fee of $250.00. Thank you for your cooperation.

Reservation Deposit

A valid credit card is required to make reservations. We accept Visa,MasterCard, Discover, American Express, travelers checks, and money orders. The balance is due upon arrival for the entire reservation. Sorry, personal checks are not accepted. No refunds for early departures.

Cancellation Policy

A $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged after reservation has been created, up until 30 days prior to arrival date. Within 30 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 1 night’s deposit will be charged. Within 7 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation will be charged. Cancellations made within 72 hours will not be eligible for a refund.

Cottage & Beach House Cancellation Policy
A $150.00 cancellation fee will be charged after reservation has been created, up until 30 days prior to arrival date. Within 30 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation will be charged. Within 14 days of arrival, a cancellation fee of 75% of the total reservation will be charged. Within 7 Days of arrival will not be eligible for a refund.

No-Shows apply to any or all guests who have a reservation at the Island View Motel, who do not appear on the reservation date of arrival, and who do not provide a proper cancellation notification. No-Shows will be charged for the entirety of their stay.

There are no refunds or credits for early departures or partial cancellations, regardless.

By giving us your credit card, you are giving us permission to charge your card to confirm your reservation. A confirmed reservation means we guarantee to hold a room(s) for the requested time period and the party reserving the room guarantees to pay.
